III International Congress of Literary Translators, Moscow , September 4 -7, 2014
From September 4th to 7th 2014, Elena Kostioukovitch will be participating to the III International Congress of Literary Translators organized by The Institute for Literary Translation (Moscow). Official streamer for this year Congress is "Translation as a tool for cultural diplomacy'.
On September 5th, Elena will be presenting a lecture "Translation for book covers: reason vs. intuition".
During the Congress, Elena will also be moderating a section dedicated to interaction and cooperation between translators, publishers, and literary agents.

On September 6: from 10.00 to 12.00, and from 13.10 to 15.00
Among the presenters are Vakoslav Pregl (Slovenia), Grigory Ryzhakov (UK), Zaza Abianidze (Georgia), Anne Marie Jackson (UK), Ursula Woolley (UK), Thomas Wiedling (Germany), Alexander Levergant (Russia), and others. The Institute for Literary Translation will be presenting its grant program for Russian literature in translation.
On September 5, at 18.00, Elena will also be moderating the Dialogue with Ludmila Ulitskaya.
